Description: Curated by AndaMirror (an artist duo), In Care, We Gather announces its start as the first Washington University in St.Louis Korean Alumni Exhibition in Seoul, Korea.
Seven alumni artists (visual artists and illustrators) reconstructed a critique like envrionemnt at the show so that the viewers are invited as critical eyes and vicariously experience the Wash U artschool critique situation that are in the memories of the seven artists.
The exhibition suggests the viewers to explore the unique stories of each artists as well as to find where the common personality as Wash U graduated is embedded in their works.
p.s: having a show during the year of the Covid-19 pandemic makes a scene of crowd wearing white masks and it creates a perplex feeling as if I was watching some sort of art performance at the show.

기획의도: 전시 In Care, We Gather는 아티스트 듀오 안다미로의 리드하에 기획된 와슈 대학교 동문 전시회이다. 순수미술과 일러스트 학과를 나온 일곱명의 와슈대학교 졸업생이 모여 각자의 작품으로 관객들과 소통하는 기회를 가졌다.
전시는 학부시절 다 함께 각자의 작품을 걸며 크리틱을 하던 추억을 전시장에 재구현 하여, 관객들에게 그 순간을 함께 할 크리티컬 아이로서 초대한다.
각 작가들이 개척해온 다양한 작품관 속에서 와슈라는 학교로 이어진 공통점을 찾을 수 있길 바란다.
본 전시는 코로나의 기승이 한풀 꺽이던 2020년 8월 14일 부터 23일까지 진행되었다.(마스크를 쓰고 전시장을 서성이던 이들의 모습이 마치 퍼포밍을 보는 듯한 인상을 남겨주었다.)
